I am a writer, historian, and weaver exploring how we preserve and create meaning. As an educator and editor, I dedicate myself to uncovering past narratives and mentoring the next generation of scholar-practitioners. I also serve as Chair and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Museum Studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where my work centers on the history of museums, collections management, interpretation, and public-facing scholarship.

Off the page, I translate that same curiosity into the physical world through weaving and other textile arts. My work at the loom is shaped by the landscapes and textures of my home state of Oregon, a place I plan to return to when I retire.
